With a background in high school architecture, Sameh pursued further education at the Arabic Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, obtaining certifications in various maritime safety and security courses, including STCW.V1/1, personal survival techniques, elementary first aid, crisis management and human behavior training, crowd management training, proficiency in security awareness for seafarers, and proficiency in survival crafts and rescue boats. Sameh also holds a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health in the level 2 award in food safety in catering.
